Delete Your Account & Data

You are in full control. You can permanently delete your ProjectProof account and all associated data at any time, directly from inside the app — no request or waiting on us required. If you can no longer access the app, you can also email us to have it done for you.

Delete your account from the app (fastest)

This permanently removes your account and all data associated with it. The action is irreversible.

Open the ProjectProof app and sign in.
Go to Settings → Data Management.
In the Danger Zone at the bottom, tap Delete Account.
Confirm when prompted. Your account and data are deleted right away.

Request deletion if you can't access the app

If you've lost access to your device or can no longer sign in, email us and we'll delete your account and data for you:

Email privacy@projectproof.app with the subject line "Account and Data Deletion Request."

To protect your account, we verify your identity before deleting anything — typically by asking you to send the request from the email address associated with your ProjectProof account. We confirm by email once the deletion is complete, and we will action verified requests within 30 days (usually much sooner).

What gets deleted

When you delete your account, we permanently remove the personal data and content tied to it from our active systems, including:

Account & profile — email, sign-in identifier, display name, company name, logo, phone, address, website, contact email	Deleted
Your content — projects, photos, videos, voice memos, documents, notes, daily logs, checklists, reports, schedule items, clients, and subcontractors	Deleted
Stored media files — all uploaded photos, videos, voice recordings, documents, and generated report PDFs	Deleted
Sign-in record — your authentication record with our identity provider	Deleted

What may be retained, and for how long

Data	Retention
Cached backups of deleted content	Purged within approximately 30 days of deletion.
Operational service logs (non-content request logs)	Retained for a limited window (typically up to 30 days), then deleted or aggregated into non-identifying counts.
Records we're legally required to keep (e.g. for tax, fraud-prevention, or to comply with law)	Retained only as long as legally required, then deleted.
Content you shared with others — items a collaborator independently saved, or a project you transferred to another owner	May remain with that other account, as it is now their data. Deleting your account does not delete content owned by other users.

Delete specific items without deleting your account

You don't have to delete your whole account to remove data. Inside the app you can delete individual photos, notes, reports, projects, and other items at any time, and you can export your data before deleting. Account deletion is only needed when you want everything removed and your account closed.
